Diagnosis and DVLA (UK)
Hey guys and girls.
My car insurance is due for renewal soon and I need to inform DVLA about my condition.
I am worried of the outcome. I am not yet on any medication although hoping to start Kesimpta in next couple months.
My condition doesn’t affect my daily life currently apart from foot drop if I exercise too much but this is easily managed through rest, and finger drop I mentioned in a much earlier post.
Anybody else similar and have reported to DVLA and has this had an impact on your licence and insurance?

Once diagnosed I contacted DVLA and insurance company. Thankfully no change needed to licence or insurance cost (so far)!
I had no issues when I informed DVLA and insurance. I had to go through the medical assessment for eyesight and they contacted my doctor for their opinion. I got a 3 year license and gave all that detail to insurance company and did not see a big change in fee. I think as long as DVLA confirm you are for to drive then insurance will be based on your driving history.
