Newly diagnosed
Hey everybody š i was recently diagnosed with MS in February this year. I'm due to start Kesimpta as my medication in the next couple of weeks. I'm just curious - how was everybody diagnosed? Has anyone ever been diagnosed without a lumbar puncture? I was diagnosed based off of MRI & CT scans alongside extensive bloodworks but keep reading everywhere MS cannot be fully diagnosed without an LP so I'm just curious. Thanks in advance āŗļø
Hi. I had optic neuritis when i was 21. The optometrist casually said āI wouldnāt be surprised if You developed MS in the Futureā carried on as usual. 10 years later i was diagnosed with MS. First MRIs then bloodwork. Lastly LPā¦.good luck š
The LP is to see if you have lesions on your spine. Which i didnāt develop at 1st. I am 44 now and still mobile which Iām extremely grateful for. PM me if you want to chat
