A First For Me
Where I've been living for the last 11 years is an overly warm climate for me, but there's not much I can do about it. This year it's been in the triple digits since the end of May - it was 101° today, for instance.
Well, between all my issues that dont play well with warm temperatures, I'm guessing my body is just done with the heat because it failed spectacularly today.
Took a shower this morning & for reference it's plumbed backwards (we'd have to rip out a tiled wall to fix it - who has money for that??)so unless it's winter, the cold water is never cold. When I turn it all the way to cold, in the summer, it's still too hot! I have to manually adjust the water heater twice a year just so I can shower during the summer.
For some reason, the water was extra hot today. Maybe 5° warmer than I usually can tolerate without issue, no idea why. Holy crap, when I say it wiped me out, I am not kidding! I had to lay in front of a fan in my drawers with ice packs for an hour to cool down!!
I haven't been able to do anything today after that shower! I've napped but I'm still exhausted & shaking like a newborn colt. I can barely walk, ffs! This has never happened to me before. Yeah, I get hot & tired but I've never had it take me out for an entire day like this! Now I'm cycling through hot flashes & full body chills - no I'm not sick or around anyone who has been.
Okay, rant over. Just had to tell the people who'd understand and not automatically gush empathy. Yes, I appreciate empathy, but I'd rather have commisseration, lol. Thanks y'all

While there are those, a very minor few, that play with heat all dandy like me and my MS get crippled by it.
Yeah, some of us tolerate heat. I never have. I was born with hypermobile Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, so dysatuonomia & POTS have been a lifelong thing for me. Through a trauma-heavy life, I've acquired Hashimoto's, CFS, Huge's Syndrome,& MS. None of these things play well with temperatures over 85°f.
