Does MA affect your depression??

Hi, I’m Shawna and I’ve had MS for almost 5 years. I had leg surgery on January 7th, and my infusion is February 9th. I’ve been stuck at home because of how it’s healing from the surgery but I’ve noticed my depression is sooo bad… Can the MS make it worse??

In a nutshell YES. There's obviously the indirect effect of MS i.e feeling down about your symptoms. I think it's still evolving in terms of evidence but as I understand it there is a valve in your brain that regulates hormones (like seritonin) that go into your bloodstream and make you feel good. Ms can damage this part of the brain thus these hormones are under regulated.
