What is kesimpta like?
So on my last infusion the nurses have asked me to change the way I get my medication. They want me to get the one that goes next to the belly button. (Apologises for not knowing the proper names of everything.) Anyway they told me that theres only 12 (including me) that go in and get the ocrevus into the vain in the arm and they've been getting patients to change the way they get the medication for costs and to get people out of the wards, I know it sounds stupid but Im more freaked out about getting it that way instead of in the vain, im not happy that one of the nurses actually made me feel like an idiot for not wanting it and wanting to stay on what I am. However I've been thinking about getting the kesimpta (ofatumumab), the one that is like an epi pen, but will have to have this every month, Im wanted to know opinions of the people who are taking this as im still not sure about it as its making me stress out about my job as I take a week off every six months after the infusion. Also do you still have to have steriods to boost your immune system and do you get fatigued after it and normally how long does it to take for you to come round? Im currently on a part time job as its working into my lifestyle and giving me the opportunity to do what I need to do ie housework, appointments and so on. But if anyone can let me know more about this it will be massively appreciated!
Thank you.

I’ve been on Kesimpta for 2 1/2 years, it’s super quick and easy and almost painless. I’m traveling next week and will be due for my injection and will just be taking my shot with me. Since you have already been doing infusions I don’t know if you will have to do the loading doses or if you just go straight into monthly shots. There are no steroids involved and I feel an energy boost after I take it. My MRIs are stable and i’ve been happy with it over all.
@chefmyerlemon when im due my next infusion they are taking me through the process so will be in for week 0, week 1, week 2 miss week 4 then will be in for week 5 I think she said then it will be monthly, how do you moderate your immune system? Just i have the steroids before the ocrevus as it boosts my immune system after.
