Ms and being a mother
Hello everyone,
I wanted to ask any mothers that give birth after they have been diagnosed with MS.
How did you feel after the birth in therms of the MS
How is the baby?
What medications do you take of you breastfeeding or you used to?
Do you have plans to fall pregnant again?
Gave birth to my son a year and a half ago, he’s my second baby but only after diagnosis. MS didn’t really affect me during my pregnancy, I only started having a few symptoms (numb arm and burning itch)like a month ago (so 18 months after birth) which lasted a couple weeks so I’m assuming it was a relapse. The only thing that was hard was my joints aren’t the best so it was difficult to walk once I got bigger. I think if you stay as healthy and active as possible you’ll be fine, pregnancy is hard on women even without MS. So sometimes it’s hard to tell what is what. Baby is super healthy he was 10lbs 4oz at birth, had him naturally. I don’t take medications and I do not want to, I’m trying out treating this holistically. I exclusively pumped with him because my body is really sensitive to touch and I knew previously with my daughter it made me super uncomfortable. So it was easy to just pump my milk and have it ready for him when he needed it. I think I want one more child but I’m honestly undecided, as my mobility isn’t too good right now, my legs having a hard time. If I make improvements I would. Here to talk if you want to :)
@katanalexandra thank you so much for your advice
