How on earth do I know if I’ve had a relapse??

Been diagnosed 3 years and this is still something I struggle with. Recently I’ve had pain and sensitivity to my skin on my neck going to my ear and down my arms in various places. I don’t even want clothes to touch it and I have had skin sensitivity before but not in this place. It seems whenever I mention symptoms to my nurse she says it’s a pseudo relapse but to me these symptoms are new? I feel like I’ve had a lot of symptoms and there are no new ones left to get that would characterise a relapse! Due an MRI soon so I hope I get a brain, neck and spine. Anyone else struggle to know if it’s a relapse??

Yea I don't know either, I had some new issues turn up, very mild ones like a sensation across the side of my face that made me trip up on words sometimes. I told them about this but they said it wasn't a relapse. I don't know where the threshold is?

Yes ditto. I asked how a relapse was defined when I was diag and was told it's a missused term and officially it's where new lesions develop (ie not a flare up of symptoms). So I guess to answer your q the MRI results will tell the Radiologist whether you have had one.
