Pain in the neck

Hi guys just a quick question if you don’t mind. I’ve been getting neck pains and mirgraine like headaches for the last week. I can’t get in contact with my ms nurse. Does anyone else get this or is it something unrelated to ms

@orlamk , the following article may interest you :-

From my very non-medical point of view, neck pain and headache could well be a case of carrying around too much tension. You might want to look into Mindfullness, as a way to help you relax a bit more:-

@stumbler thanks for that. It is something I’m actively doing trying to keep stress levels down and switch off in the evenings including phone, tablet and tv.
I’ll have a gander at those articles when I get a break in work

I have gotten those neck headaches for 40 years, I used a heated rice bag for them before I was diagnosed. My neuro said I couldn’t go that anymore, I use a hand held vibrator on the back of my neck that seems to help. Storms moving in seem to set it off, that is why I didn’t believe it was a migraine. My neuro assured me that they were migraines. I read recently that they are cause by a lesion that is close to where your brain and spinal cord connect. Potter

Thanks Paul that does make sense about where the lesion sits and why it would cause it. I take a painkiller when going to bed it does help and means the headache doesn’t start until about 11/12 so I get a bit of reprive from it
