Yep, MRIs followed by lumbar puncture.
Same for me, 2nd MRI and lumbar puncture
Ditto. LP and MRI.
Why do you ask?
I had 2 relapses in 7 months, MRI and evoked potentials tests. No LP
Mri and then a lumbar puncture x
I had an LP and MRI back in April last year and didn't show but by October I had more symptoms which I now know we're replases so had another scan and eye check and they found lesions on my brain so was diagnosed in January x
A good Dr that knows what's up! My 1st dr did a lumbar puncture and still couldn't give me a straight answer. Went to the Mayo clinic in MN and right away the dr knew.
The diagnosis came from my consultant after an MRI and my having told him about my 9 years of symptoms, which in hindsight were attributed to MS.
First MRI with contrast.
LP is less common now. My MRI was so definitive a LP was not needed. It is for some people. This is the best video I have seen on diagnosis:
MRIs with contrast!
