Evidence regarding Complementary Medicine/Alternative Therapies

I am helping to shape a guide called "Alternative Treatments and Complementary Medicine – Looking for evidence and knowing the risks" for this excellent organisation https://senseaboutscience.org. I was contacted by them via the work I do for the MS Society. Does anyone have personal experience of studies on this topic, eg have you been on a clinical trial for something outside of "mainstream medicine"? If you have any interesting stories regarding MS and alternative/complementary medicine I would love to have your input - please message me as I am also looking for quotes. Here is the original article from 11 years ago https://senseaboutscience.org/activities/ive-got-nothing-to-lose-by-trying-it/
@ReginaGBeach

I’ve done a research trial with the University of Alabama’s Arts in Medicine program in therapeutic writing. I also follow the Overcoming MS program which has exercise, meditation and an anti inflammatory diet as part of the program (in addition to medication, and vitamin d supplementation). The Rocky Mountain MS center has a section on their website in CAM for MS and one of their doctors wrote a book on the evidence base for CAM in MS

@ReginaGBeach Thank you so much😀. I have been an OMS-er for 3 years, live it and love it. Do you mind if I get back to you soon for a bit more info?
