Will I ever feel like myself again?

Hi all, I was diagnosed in Jan of this year after a severe bout of optic neuritis. During the diagnostic process i developed a spinal leak and headache from the lumbar puncture and have had residual pain and nerve issues in my lower back after the epidural blood patch to seal it. My eyesight improved somewhat but is still blurry and my eyes are now both light sensitive and dry. All and all, it’s been extremely difficult to say the least. I just feel defeated. I got on Kesimpta quickly with no noticeable side effects so that’s been good. I’m just feeling defeated and wonder if I can expect improvement. Any similar experiences from longer down the road would be appreciated.

To answer the question in the title yes you should do. Most people on here including myself recover almost completely from optic neuritis. Your drug should protect you from future relapses and pinch the disease and the bud. Anticipate some flare ups of the vision issues when you get hot or out of breath - this is normal.

@RC83 Thank you for the encouragement! I’m just worried because it’s been three months and my vision isn’t back 100% I know it can take more time but it’s hard to not get discouraged sometimes.
