Hi Has anyone in the UK had any 'interesting' experiences with travel insurance? I called my insurance provider yesterday to inform them of my MS diagnosis. After a lot of questions and being put on hold twice while they spoke to their supervisor, all seemed to be ok, and the existing policy was apparently going to continue. Then on hearing that I had had a gum infection this week (with a single antibiotic dose left to take), it all went pear-shaped. The stumbling block seemed to be that I have to go back for a check-up next month, and although I attempted to explain that this was because I will be travelling next week and unable to go sooner, suddenly it was 'game over' and I was informed that my policy would not be renewed. This sounds to me as if they are using the dental situation to avoid insuring someone with MS. Has anyone experienced anything similar? Can anyone recommend a good insurer (they suggested All Clear)? Thank you!
