Yes, I have both a FES and orthopedic foot drop strap that I alternate between. Both are good, FES is probably the best, it does stimilate the muscles creating the lift effect. It would s something you have to get used to both in sensation and set up but both become easier with time. Just a word of caution, it doesn't work for everyone but if that is the case for you, an orthopedic foot drop strap is quite good as well, try and get referred for both if possible. I was originally referred to Neuro physio who in return did the referrals for orthotics and FES.

That's really helpful... I had tried an afo, but we didn't really get on!
