Hip pain?
For the last couple of weeks (and even up to a year before that) I randomly have pain in my left hip, and it sometimes ends up in my other hip or my left shoulder.
Does anyone else have this issue?
Thinking about potentially checking for a vitamin deficiency but with the way that it behaves I'm starting to wonder if there's nerve involvement.
Thanks!
I do, have you mentioned it to your physio, I over compensate on one side and it maybe how you are walking bringing the opposite leg through. I have attached moment as I've torn cartlidge in my knee on my good side. It does sound like your balence and stance x i have an excellent OT that has looked at my flat to see if things could help like extra elbow crutches and problem solved. It's nasty when I get it pain control also helps I just push through with it
Massage Therapist here. Is the pain in the hip joint or more at the hip crest in the back? I ask because your Lats go from shoulder to hip crest which could explain why you feel it in shoulder and even across to the other hip (referral pattern). If you can get in with a massage therapist, preferably one with some neuromuscular training, they could really help. I would also recommend an osteopathic practitioner if possible. I have hypermobility myself and my hips are in constant discomfort, so I completely understand your situation. But also, as the member above commented, we overcompensate A LOT based on where/how our bodies are affected and it definitely throws everything out of whack. If possible I would try heat and gentle yoga stretches but if it hurts, don't do it. Best of luck 🧡
