planning life w/ flare ups posssible at any time?

I'm new here. Dx in 2023, I thought my symptoms were under control (cognitive/memory probs. primarily) when suddenly I was hit about 2 months ago with debilitating fatigue, heat sensitivity, tremors, and worsening cognition-- 1st 3 brand new sx for me. It derailed my life. I'm recovering but am still not sure whether it was because I was fighting an infection, was relapsing, or was just developing new sx. I had to cancel everything I had committed to in my life for almost a month. How do you make plans/commitments going forward if you never know when an ms crisis is going to hit, how long it will last, etc.? I can't even make plans day-to-day because I don't know if it will be a good day or a bad day. Help please!

Hey! I still plan but I get refundable tickets, I wait a bit longer until I purchase things and I’m mentally prepared to just say no. Worsening symptoms from a relapse can sometimes go away quickly, other times they can stay for months (6 months in the worst case for me). It can be overwhelming and you’ll have your nights of desperation but I recommend that you still plan with courage. I typically don’t make plans that require lots of physical activity, only those where I can set the pace.
