Grief of lost life

I been diagnosed with MS for 6 years and I thought I had passed my period of grief. But I was wrong. I attendee a party yesterday and I wore a dress and some low heels boots I love dancing and back in my good days I did it a lot so I thought why not try to at least. I did and I had fun. Then I started feeling out of balance my boots suddenly felt like the heel grew. I decided it was time to leave I was fine till then my only (13 years) son, husband and I started making our exit and my son saids to me “ why are you wearing does shoes if you can’t step on them” that single sentence crushed me he know that I have MS and if I wear flats it’s the same thing. So here I am crying my eyes out grieving what MS took from me. Is there a way to cope with grief?

Sadly there is not much to be done in regards to what MS has stolen from us, over 26 years here, but we can look to embrace what may be before us to carry on. Please do not dwell on this for long as it can, read will, lead to a relapse.
