Does everyone got offered DMT's?

I currently have ' inactive' MS ( diagnosed 2024Dec , symptoms since May 3024) I have on/ off tingling, some cog fog, a left leg that ' locks' now & again & fatigue. I was wondering if I will get offered treatment or be told to wait & see?

There are NICE guidelines on getting treatment. I think you’re not eligible for NHS trt if your relapses have been more than 2 yrs apart. That was certainly the case when I was diagnosed 4 yrs ago. If your eligible for ‘disease modifying drugs’ you’ll be given options which your MS nurse will explain. It’s generally thought best to go with higher efficacy drugs but of course there are side effects do it’s a case of choosing what suits you. There’s a lot of info on drugs on the MS trust & MS society websites. It’s also worth looking at healthy lifestyle, diet, exercise & stress relief to help manage symptoms but that’s another huge area to go into!

I got diagnosed September 24 and had my first treatment December 27th (Tysabri) was diagnosed with Rapidly evolving relapse Remitting so think they wanted treatment as quick as they can I had a relapse month after I got diagnosed with a bad turn of vertigo. I had a consultation in November a month after diagnosis and they was keen for treatment. So depends I'd say how active they think it is. I've had the same symptoms and gradual decline since may 24.
