Do What You Enjoy..............
I am almost a 78 yr. old female who has had PPMS for almost 30 yrs. At first I carried on as if I didn't have the disease. Over the yrs. it has progressed to where I don't drive, use a Walker inside my home and a Wheelchair outside. I am incontinent which I hate and now rarely go outside unless I have an appt. My hubby and I have Date Night every Thursday and go to a rest. in our area. Inside we do puzzles, bigger the better. We have been doing them since Covid on our dining rm. table. We take our time and sometimes do it together or separately. I like to watch our Wpg. Jets play hockey on TV, like to watch our Wpg. Blue Bombers play football, watch the Blue Jays baseball coming up soon. I also PVR anything I like to watch on TV that my hubby doesn't care for. I have naps a lot as I am currently taking pain meds. for the famous M.S. Hug whiich makes me sleepy. I also talk on the phone with a few old friends who I still keep in touch with. I do miss the freedom to jump in my car and go shopping or meet a friend for lunch or just coffee. Now, at my age I sometimes feel forgotten by friends but know that it is a difficult challenge for me when I do get out. My wheelchair being mainly as it is heavy and easier for a male to move around then a female. I have accepted this and try and enjoy each day. Oh, I almost forgot, I love watching Curling on the TV. The Men's Worlds is coming up this Friday and, I will be watching. Try and be Positive the best you can my friend. Sincerely, Lorna Hayden
@bugsy you've inspired me .. I'm going to get a jigsaw puzzle, the bigger the better 😃
I realized that I am in a good place with my ms. Did you have any cognitive issues as three years went on?
