Back at work after maternity leave - struggling!

I started back at work doing four days a week after mat leave in September, and I am now struggling! I had Lemtrada years ago and have been relapse free but I’m getting so run down that I’m worried I’ll get ill. My baby is still up am LOT at night and is breastfed - won’t take a bottle- so it’s all me at night. Currently short staffed at work - they are hiring. My baby has been ill non-stop since starting nursery and I’m getting everything too. I feel like something has got to give! I tried to negotiate 3 days a week when I returned but they wanted four. I feel like that’s the only solution at the moment. Any advice from other mums?

Obviously I'm not a mother, nor even a father. But maternity (esp. pregnancy+early years) and MS is a well documented topic. As always, I will tap the sign: the MS Trust has great, trusted, faxt-checked resources. I know they've done a bunch on the topic. Watch out for online content with advice - the pipeline starting with Women's Health/Motherhood influencers and ending in pyramid schemes, cults and conspirationist radicalisation is well documented, and vulnerable people (like, IDK, a disabled new mum) are prime potential victims.

Have you considered asking to reduce to 3 days a week as a reasonable adjustment. Do you have a union that can help you with this. Employer has a statutory duty to consider your request and you are covered by disability discrimination act
