Nobbly plastic or smooth metal hand rims on self propelled wheelchair?
Hi wheelchair using folk!
I’ve tried a couple of lightweight, self-propelled wheelchairs (in Careco) and can’t decide if it will be best to get smooth metal hand rims- downside being they will be cold in the winter and potentially really hot in the summer. Or, plastic, nobbly rims- not so cold on the hands, better grip but maybe make hands sore? What do you think?
Also, one has the anti-tip wheels at the rear (metal rims) and the other one doesn’t. How does this help/ hinder you?
Thanks in advance. I’m in Devon, btw!
