New here, not sure if i have MS

Hi all I'm new here, so this is just to introduce myself. I'm not sure what I have! I'm mid 60s which I know is unusually late for diagnosis but have had symptoms for many years ... I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia about 13 years ago (but started long before); since then I've also had all 4 parathyroid glands removed - that diagnosis was confirmed by blood results and symptoms. However both these share many symptoms with MS. Since my last parathyroid surgery last November my symptoms haven't reduced, if anything they are worse ... appalling fatigue, pain everywhere, intentional tremor, paraesthesia everywhere , memory loss, numb and cold toes, restless legs, visual migraines etc etc. My GP surgery - with whom you get 7 minutes, usually with a different person each time, don't seem to join the dots so each symptom that I get a chance to ask about seems a small matter; to the extent that they don't even know the half of what's going on with me. I've often wondered if it was MS so I've finally taken matters into my own hands and made an appointment to see a Consultant in August to either diagnose - or rule out - MS. Has anyone on here had anything similar or such a late diagnosis please? I'd love to hear. Thanks Anne

Hi.. sorry not had the same experience as you but if I did, assuming i wasn't especially wealthy, i would probably opt to spend the money on a Brain MRI without contrast and Radiologists report.

Hi RC83, Thank you so much for your kind reply. As a UK pensioner, no I'm not wealthy at all 😄 so hope Consultant can put me on his NHS list ... but if it's going to be several years' wait then will scrape up ... potato soup and beans on toast for the foreseeable future! Thanks for the advice x
