COLD PLUNGE

Has anyone used ice baths or cold water plunges to help with their symptoms? If so how have they found them and have they helped? I have spasms and joint pain and wondering if it will help with this. I did a cold plunge back in November and like the day after started to have the worst relapse I have ever had to the point where my spasms stopped me walking. I don’t think this could be what caused the relapse, but wondering if anyone else has also experienced this? Looking to hear all experiences good and bad. Thanks!

@Molly_Thomas I think you need to be careful with ice baths as they can cause cold water shock, although due to my heat intolerance, I take cold showers instead. 🚿🧊

I have, I try dip in the sea every week. I have amazing friends who help me get in and out. It makes a massive difference to my mobility. We have tried to stay in for 12 minutes on three occasions but I think 5-7 minutes is best. It give you such a high, I can highly recommend it. I’d also recommend doing it with friends, it’s so crazy it’s a scream and a stress free experience. Great for mental wellbeing.
