Betaferon Yay or Nay?
Been steered towards Betaferon. Now I've read the books and seen the DVD. The choice is of course mine. I know which way I am leaning but any advise,or comments positive or negative would be greatly appreciated. Many thanks...

Hi Mark, Have you been offered/are you considering any other drugs? cheers, George
It's been a bit of a rollercoaster ride getting to this point (if you've read my about me page you'll see what a dope I was!) Anyways, my Neuro sort of underlined this as the way to go. We're still unsure whether I am prodominantly relapsing or progressive at this point and he feels this is the way to go. My MS Nurse popped round for a chat and gave me all the Betaferon info last week.
Have you seen the MS Decisions website? It compares Betaferon with Rebif, Avonex and Copaxone. www.msdecisions.org.uk The end result is the same in terms of disease progression for all four drugs, so there are other things to weigh up, such as how often injections are, how the drug is stored, side effects etc
