Scarred veins
Good morning team!
Does anyone have any tips on dealing with scarring in veins caused by cannulation?
I have my tysabri infusions every 4 weeks and the nursing team are excellent but we're starting to struggle with veins! 🤦♀️
I try to alternate sides every month but both sides are starting to object.
Yesterday we had to opt for the inside of my forearm so I now have a bruise, about 3 inches long🤦♀️
The bruise itself doesn't both me, it's worth it to get he good stuff but it is worrying me. I've got a lot of MS to go and need access for treatment! 😕
It sounds daft but will massaging the veins help at all?
