Does Anyone Else Have A Cough That they Can't Find A Root Cause For?
My doctors have searched for everything from post nasal drip to lung cancer. Nothing comes up on testing, and no treatments give me any relief. Everything I have found in my research says that it’s nerve damage. My symptoms are described correctly in these articles but I disagree with the conclusion of nerve damage. I think it’s a side effect of DMTs. But they don’t really know what causes it or why. I skipped my last infusion and the cough noticeably subsided within 2 weeks, counting from the date that I should have had the infusion. By 4 weeks it was gone. I am now 4 months out from when I should have had the infusion. The cough is gone but my MS symptoms are showing their ugly head. My friends and family even comment about how I’m not coughing anymore. I will probably go back on Ocrevus but will ask for a lower dose to see if that helps. But, I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing or has experienced this?
Yes I have a persistent cough and until I read this I was putting it down to having covid 6 times, im also on Ocrevus🤔
@Vonni Cough is listed as a side effect of Ocrevus but it you read deeper, they blame it on upper respiratory infections and viruses due to the immune system being suppressed. I think there's more to it. Thank you for your response. I will be seeing my doctor in June and I am hoping to tell him that I know others who have this same symptom! Hopefully we can get someone - the drug company or other researchers - to look at this more closely.
