Spinal tap query

I was diagnosed 10 years ago with mri and blood tests, I didn't have a lumbar puncture. I'm going through a tough time at the minute and know I am over thinking or wishful thinking (this is why they shouldn't put me on sick🙈) but I keep seeing things about the lumbar puncture, anyone else not had one? Should this be something I should have addressed?

For me it was optional. It depends on how definite your MRIs were. I’ve seen others here too who didn’t have to have an LP. Hope that helps.

It’s a good thing to avoid if you can 😬 very unpleasant. Definitely not an essential, just another box to tick if your diagnosis isn’t clear from other tests.
