ocrevus and toddler bugs
Hi, I'm looking at starting on ocrevus and wondering if anyone has experience of taking it with germy small people in their life. I've been on brabio for years and my ms is not very active, but I'm starting to think about avoiding long term disability and the brabio injections have left me with dented skin everwhere..
I'm wondering if taking ocrevus and having a germy toddler in my life is going to be a disaster.
I also travel a bit for work including to eg africa and am wondering if that will still be feasible.
Thanks!
I've got 3 kids and have been on CD20 therapies (Ocrevus and now Kesimpta) for about 80 months. Can't really comment on the travel side of things because I've got three kids. My idea of international travel is a trip to Aldi without someone sneezing directly into my eyeball. 🤣 As for germs, the kids have brought home every bug known to science and a few that are probably still being studied. I'm still here. Think less "fragile immune system" and more Incredible Hulk... if the Hulk occasionally wobbled, forgot why he walked into the kitchen, and needed a tactical afternoon nap. 💪😂 Everyone's different of course, but Ocrevus never turned me into a bubble-wrapped houseplant. The biggest threat to my wellbeing remains stepping on Lego at 3am. 🦶💀
Yes! I didn’t it with my now 8yr old daughter, I been thru all the germy hands, covid, any other cough cold situation, guess what? I didn’t catch any of her colds, (except Covid), I caught it from her day care in 2020/21, that’s when I started Ocrevus, and I’m still on it today
