This is for anyone who, like me, was worried that starting Ocrevus would mean having to stop going out, partying, or being around crowds because of infections and other potential problems. It has been about three months since I was diagnosed with MS and started Ocrevus. I was lucky that my MS was discovered relatively early and almost by accident, so I haven’t experienced many of the symptoms that others have. I had numbness around my knees, but it has gradually improved and, after about six months, has now almost completely disappeared. Since starting Ocrevus, I’ve continued living pretty much as I did before. I’ve been around kids with runny noses, gone to crowded clubs, partied, and done all the usual things. So far, I haven’t had any infections or felt physically different at all. Honestly, it feels like nothing happened. I know I may be lucky and that everyone’s experience with MS and Ocrevus is different. But I remember how much I freaked out before starting treatment, so I wanted to share a positive experience in case someone else is searching for one. Ocrevus hasn’t stopped me from living my life normally. I may come back and share an update if I do get sick, so I can say whether it’s any worse than usual Hahahhaha but I’m optimistic 😅
