So thirty years goes by fast!!

So today October 18, 1994 I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, 30 years ago On this day I was devastated and broken and the life I had planned was off the table. To be really honest I didn’t believe it. No! I’m 24 years old, I just got married, Not me I’m to strong and nothing can break me. I wish I could go back and do it over. Not the life I have lived just how I lived it. I would have found a personal trainer, I should have watched how this stupid disease was changing me, taking small pieces everyday. I was told to stay active and maybe it would go away . I should have been told to move and walked and run and dance. To hit the beach now because heat will not be your friend soon. If I enjoyed walking or hiking or bike riding to get my miles in now because soon miles will become yards then feet. It all sounds awful and it is but life moves on and we all make the best of what we have been given. I love my life and couldn’t have done it without Chris ( husband for 31 years)You are my balance assist person and none of this works without you. 💕

I was diagnosed 24 years ag (can’t remember the exact date) I had been married just prior to my diagnosis and I’d had my son plus I’d moved to a new area, left my precious buisiness and friends. And here I am now , divorced for the past 11 years, chosen to live alone and my son (now 26) is a Professor!! As you say life goes on. It may not be the life I anticipated or wanted, but I can say, in all honesty, it’s a good life and I love my life too despite everything and I’m definitely still living it!!
