I do hope this treatment becomes available for people. Would it be made available for older MSers like myself who is 53? I would hope so.
The evidence is that they do work! I've been running the Fingolimod trial at my hospital, Amanda, the lady who was on BBC Breakfast is one of my paticipants. She started the trial in August 2007 and hasn't had a relapse since. She was previously on Avonex and had to fit her work around the flu-like symptoms she experienced but now has none of those when she takes a pill once a day!
