Driving licence renewal

This has now taken over 12 months with lots of false promises from my neurologists secretary , I have attended an nhs driving assessment (on a manual car ) which I passed with ease ,is this usual practice ?, has anyone else gone through this and what can be done?..all I require is a straight and true answer .I’ve had no relapses in this time and all medications amounts have stayed the same .

@Alexr76 I don't know is the answer. There are several moving parts when renewing your driving license. I've never had a problem, and I'm now on a 5 year license rather than 3 years. My understanding is that the DVLA contact your neurologist, the DVLA inform you that your license is under review (but I think you can still drive). Your neuro completes a form and sends it back to the DVLA. License is renewed a couple of months later. You don't really state what the problem is. Were you asked to attend a NHS driving assessment? Is that something provided by Drive Mobility? If you passed, then this information will have been passed onto the DVLA, with their recommendations if adaptions need to be made. If you are still waiting for your driving license then contact the DVLA. However, the rules and/or guidelines might be different for a HGV driver.

Apparently your country cares more about licensing. Our country hands them out like water. Insurance Money Profits 📈 👌
