Bright Places play
The wonderful Rae Mainwaring has an incredible new play Bright Places. Rae was 23 when MS came crashing into her life without warning. She's harnessed her story and turned it into art to reach other MSers across the country.
A three-woman, one-woman show about Multiple Sclerosis, MS for short, not to be confused with M&S or S&M. With 90s pop, a costume box and a whole heap of glitter, Bright Places is a darkly funny and deeply honest autobiographical story about growing up in the shadow of chronic illness.
Bright Places will be showing at the following:-
Exeter Northcott, Exeter
13 - 14 November 2024
Attenborough Arts Centre, Leicester
22 November 2024
Dorchester Arts, Dorchester
28 November 2024
Soho Theatre, London
2 - 7 December 2024
Taunton Brewhouse, Taunton
12 December 2024
Crediton Arts Centre, Crediton
13 December 2024
There will be a Sharing Event on 7th December at Soho Theatre, London. This Sharing Event will bring people suffering with chronic illnesses together to get creative.

Online sessions
We have ten online check-in sessions but we’ve broken it down into two five-week blocks for ease of booking in!
These are relaxed, online sessions hosted by Jo Gleave as an opportunity to keep in touch with the project, whether you've attended one of our Creative Days and would like to explore and develop on work that you created there or you're completely new to the project and want to join a friendly group which will be a mix of discussion, creative exercises and updates on the project and sharing.
You can dip in and out as needed and don’t have to attend all the check-ins in each 5-week block!
All sessions will be live captioned (with a live and post-event transcript).

I caught this show last night in Edinburgh, it was great, from the writing to the delivery. It felt true to the life experiences. Maybe a little dark (we all know the challenges we face) but then hit you with something to make you laugh at the right time. 100% recommend it if you’re up for a little bit theatre.
Booked the Soho Theatre London show minutes after reading the Guardian review. Looking forward to it.
