Not sure

Hi everyone Not been on here for a while . I need some advice as to what to do . Being diagnosed last year , I have had a few symptoms raise there head . However this wk , I have come down with what I think is a cold . My whole body aches as normal with a cold , my legs on the other hand feel heavy , tender and just ache constantly . I’m taking the normal paracetamol but not Ibruprofen. Should I contact my nurse /GP . I don’t really want to get signed off work if I can . I’m due to get signed off for surgery in April .

It is fairly normal for an infection to cause any existing or dormant MS symptoms to worsen temporarily, especially if you have a temperature. This might be what is affecting you in addition to cold symptoms. If you're worried, and you have a sympathetic MS nurse, a phone call to talk about it might be a good idea. It's entirely up to you whether you need to be signed off work. Obviously, if you're ill it's not a very good idea to push yourself, but only you can know what's appropriate or doable. Good luck! I hope you feel better soon.
