How can you tell if your having a relapse?

Hi, I'm newly diagnosed, almost 3 months. How can you tell if you are having a relapse? I started having worsening pain on my weak side, a very painful headache, worsening dizziness which has led to nausea so bad I haven't been eating very well, general malaise, worsening fatigue... Everything just seems to be worse, and the pain is new. The headaches are about as bad as when I was in my flare that led to me being diagnosed. I don't see my neuro till next week. I'm so weak and exhausted I am taking naps. I did have a part of a day yesterday where I felt fine, and wondered what was going on... Then I was back to feeling awful. Could this be a relapse?

I suggest you get yourself checked at the emergency Im worried you develop vertigo then it wouldnt be simple for you to go and Im worried about your pressure since you lost your apetite drink loads of water dont bend your head down or bow dont pick up things from the ground if they said you have a relapse they will probably give you Iv steroid stay safe

If you are only 3 months into your diagnosis, I bet these are remnant symptoms from your first attack. I was diagnosed in 2005 and I found that my first symptoms lasted for several months before backing off. Thereafter, I found my sensory pain developing very very slowly, but basically there every day (with fatigue). Nearly 20 years later, I can honestly say I don’t know if I have ever had a formal RELAPSE. It is just a daily sensation and daily fatigue. Only very recently have I started having subtle tremors in my hands, so perhaps this is a new lesion? I’m to have a new MRI soon. Stay hopeful and praying that God will give you peace and calm about the future. MS varies widely in its symptoms and course, but it is very possible that progression can be a SLOW moving train. When in doubt, ask your doctor if they think this is a new relapse. They may suggest IV steroids, especially early in your diagnosis.
