Symptoms for six years
Hi I've been having symptoms for over 6 years .was originally referred to a neuro 5 year ago as I was having weakness being dizzy balance problems fatigue. Well I had mri but only slipped disc showed on spine mri.so was told just wear and tear .symptoms never went away so 4 years down the line had to have another mri as symptoms got worse .was referred to neuro as they found something on brain scan .waited another year for appointment to be told I have a lesion in the periventricular area of my brain . and as symptoms have stayed the same which I told him they were worse is to watch and wait .I've been suffering for years and it's just getting worse .do u think I should ask for another neuro as I can't put up with this fatigue and weakness anymore
Hello when did you have your last MRI brain and c spine ? If it's over a year ask for another one of both areas. Have you had a lumbar puncture ? Look at the Mcdonald criteria until you meet this criteria you will not be diagnosed with MS. Unfortunately it can take some time. Keep pushing your GP and Neurologist you know your body best and know something is wrong . That could be MS or something else causing your symptoms. I hope you get help and answers soon. Take care.
Hi yes been over a year since last mri my neuro said my lesion is in the right place for ms but as symptoms haven't change just a case of watching and waiting. He didn't want to no that my symptoms have changed thanks for reply
