Feeling scared of how m s will impact my working life . . Just feel so tired all the time. Also have had bells palsy for fifteen years. Just feeling very lost at mo as have had numerous scans and an official diagnosis but nothing is happening at the moment and don't actually know if I'm ready to go back to work. Also can't really explain exactly how my body feels 😒

Hi @julie_hobbs , it is understandable to have these thoughts and fears. You look at all your plans for the future and suddenly all your visions seem questionable. Just give yourself time. Time to get to know what this diagnosis actually means to you and what options you have for the future. As you are waiting to learn how to inject, can I assume that you have been prescribed one of the CRAB Drugs. This stands for Copaxone, Rebif, Avonex and Betaferon, which are the original Disease Modifying Therapies (DMT)s introduced almost 30 years ago! These are the least effective DMTs, with much better options now available. This is something which will get repeated to you by the seasoned MSers. As will the phrase, "be your own advocate". You can't rely on Neuros to give you the best advice. Some are stuck in the last century, preaching conservative strategies for whatever reason. Whilst, the more modern Neuros are proclaiming a "Hit it hard, hit it fast", with the most effective DMTs, strategy for dealing with the MS. With knowledge, you can start to question advice, asking questions like, "why this and not that?" As for the future, nothing's changed. Before diagnosis, your future wasn't a certainty. So, in essence, nothing's changed. Live for the day and tomorrow will look after itself. So, whilst you gather knowledge, and coming here is a great start, just try and relax. Live healthily, eat healthily, exercise moderately and avoid stress.
