I woke up with hip pain for the last few days, admitedly not as sever as yours but still knocked me back to using my crutches. I just put it down to the overly firm hospital mattress but I woke up this morning and I feel fine. It'll probably be worth speaking to your physio (if you're seeing one) or have a word with your doctor, it might not be related to your MS, not everything is =)
hi yes i have hip pain, definitely worth seeing a physio. your ms nurse or gp should be able to refer you, i have also self referred. the physio took me through the correct way to move around getting in and out of bed with knees together, using the appropriate muscles etc. i've had two physio's one was much better than the other. i wouldn't know how to request the better one, they were both very nice but one seemed to 'get' the problems i had and workout things to help my particular needs rather than handing me exercise sheets and therabands. my problem was caused from bad posture after a relapse which knocked out a lot of the muscles on my left side and lower back. take a look at yourself in a full length mirror and try and workout any imbalance, even the slightest displacement in your neck or hips can throw out other areas, like a pulley system. i also do yoga moves and stretches to keep things moving, i think pilates is good also, but i've never tried that.
