What a day!???
Was really positive start but within half an hour of work it all went wrong. I told someone to pass on some urgent work yesterday to someone else as they're part time. The other manager thought they should have stayed and finished. I just keep making the wrong decisions. Was really cross and went
to the loo to have a good cry and even thought of quitting! After all if I can't do my job what's the point - blah blah blah. Anyhow after a few hours my senior manager was at teh photocopier and asked me about a course I should go and job prospects. I'm now much happier and am looking forward to the next few months career wise. One of you guys said the other day that they were jealous of me working and they made me think I'm lucky - in a good job with a salary, supportive managers and the promise of promotion this year. Yes MS sucks but I will survive!
You were right - part-time workers shouldn't have to work extra hours or that defeats the whole point of being part-time! Sometimes a good cry in the toilets is a good thing to get the frustration out of your system. Now you've got a course coming up & future promotion - YAY! Good times :)
