Help!!

hi, im 22 and just found out i might have MS waiting for an appointment for an MRI but they are unable to give any sort of timescale as to when it might happen. can the docs get it wrong? i am trying to convince myself they are wrong, how do u deal with it?
@Gav

The last thing doctors want to do is diagnose MS to a 22 year old. I have an MRI with loads of lesions on it and they still wanted to do a lumbar puncture because they wanted to be certain. It's horrible not knowing if you have MS, but MS is not the end of the world, you should check out my YouTube videos in the tv.ms section, they'll make you laugh (promise!)

@wobblyben

I was quite "lucky" in that my neurologist was an MS specialist and I was covered by private healthcare at the time, so when I presented with optic neuritis it was less than a week before I knew what was going on. I still didn't actually accept it until my first proper relapse though. The only advice I can give is this, you WILL deal with it because you have to. Don't worry about it or let it take over your life, just carry on doing the things you want to do for as long as you can. That advice applies whether you have MS or not, because let's be honest, you might get hit by a bus before your MRI ;)
