Vesectomy

Hello, I have RRMS, diagnosed Feb 2010. I am now 34yrs old, married with 4 kids. My wife and I have been talking about me getting a vesectomy, I have done some research and read some unsupported theory that said having sperm with no where to go can increase the immune response. There are studies that show Vasectomies have no effect on the risk of MS but curious how many men here have had the procedure and if their MS changed post surgery. Thanks in advance.

@shawn84
Had that done way before MS dx.
If you do have it just do virtually nothing for about a week.
Nothing to strenuous even if you’re feeling ok.
Have fun!

@shawn84 , would this article make you feel better :-

https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17284511 ?

Just manage your stress levels, as this can have a detrimental effect.

@highlander @stumbler thank you for your responses.

@stumbler thank you for the article, unfortunately it leaves me still wondering. Some stuff I find says that it is okay, some stuff says it’s not. Unfortunately my head is just as confused lol.

Is there any other men that can add to this?

@shawn84 go for it. PPMS and had it done without any issues apart from the nurse asking the wife if she wanted to be there (she is a nurse).
