Statins?

I have been reading about how statins can slow brain shrinkage in MSers. Has anyone been prescribed them for this purpose? The research is new,but seems conclusive and as they dole them out to loads of people with high cholesterol , what about us too?

@tabbycat , it’s been bouncing around for at least a couple of years :-

I believe that it now requires formal clinical trials, but no-one will finance them – there’s no money to be made in statins!

I was borderline for statins with my cholesterol reading a few years ago, so I opted for them because of the “possibilities”. Have they worked? Well, as far as MS is concerned, you just don’t know…….
