Oxygen therapy

My daughter came home at the weekend with a card for a place that does oxygen therapy for MS warriors. Spoke to them and of course they say it offers “great help to to MS patient”.
Its pricey though, £225 for 5 initial sessions then a more reasonable £15 per session. Is it worth it? I am sceptical to go off what they say and read differing views in t’internet searches. Whats the views?

Just a thought…
That’s a lot of wedge for a might be.
Hospitals have oxygen on tap.
Try and cut a deal if you fancy it by all means.
Casinos up the oxygen levels to keep the punters more awake and feel better.
The house always wins.
It maybe beneficial but by how much and how long?
All the best

@watsoncraig , that’s a bit of a hefty price.

Check out your nearest MS Therapy Centre and see how much they would charge :-

It is usually recommended that you have an intensive course, e.g. 3 sessions a week for 6 weeks, to increase your oxygen saturation levels. Then, you can reduce to a weekly session.

Does it work? Well, you can relate to how it can work, but you’ll have to try it to find out if it works for you………….

I’ll see about pricing as that was my local place. Edinburgh

Each new client needs to go through our ascending protocol. Clients do 5 sessions at each of our increasing pressures costing a total of £225. This saturates the system with oxygen to maximise benefits. Further maintenance sessions cost £15 each.

The one I know of is in Leith, EDINBURGH. Swanfield industrial estate. The MS THERAPY CENTRE. It’s supposed to be really good. The hyperbaric chamber. I been to the centre for therapy. Seen the chamber. It’s very big. I’m saving up for next year. As it is pricey. It is a charity based centre. So it’s pay as you go sort of idea.

When I was in Edinburgh they offered me that for free. At the MS centre.

Try to look for somewhere where they offer free service.

@watsoncraig Although it doesn’t have a sound researchy base there are many that swear by it.

£45 a session for the first five doesn’t seem massively unreasonable to me. The kit looks expensive to acquire and maintain, even if all the training and monitoring is done by volunteers.

I know that some chambers accommodate several people at a time, perhaps you need to be the sole occupant the first time so the higher costs reflect the lost revenue? Just a thought.

£45 an hour is the price for a decent 1h massage in Oxfordshire.

If you try it and it works then it isn’t harmful, except to your wallet.
