MS Society Tissue Bank

After recently being told I can’t become an Organ Donor thanks to the MonSter inside me,I have found a way of helping MS research after my death by filling in and sending off the paperwork to become a tissue donor consenting that after my death they will be able to remove my brain, spinal cord and spinal fluid to aid them in possibly finding a cure.

To find out more you can e-mail [email protected]

And they will send you the paperwork.

Hello,

People with MS can be organ donors, we just can’t donate blood or bone marrow.

I’m on the organ donor register. While its for a good cause I don’t like the lab rat idea of donating to research.

I believe there’s even a special MS version of the organ donor card, might be worth checking with MS society 😉

My donor card has the following address on it:
The UK Multiple Sclerosis Tissue Bank
Imperial College London
Charing Cross Campus
LONDON W6 8RF
PHONE 07659 132045.
They want non MS brains too so my husband is donating his as well. Perhaps we’ll finish up in adjoining jars!
I thought that donating my brain for MS research would avoid the possibility of being buried alive in a diabetic coma 🙂

Yes, I’d considered donating it, I might talk a bit more to hubby about it 😉
