Move it or lose it?

Broke my dominant wrist back in February. 6 weeks immobilized in a cast let the bone heal nicely, but it sure did an atrophy number on the nerves and muscles!

Physio, to the counterintuitive point of pain, to get the range of motion, strength and feeling back. It’s got me thinking about all the micro exercises I should probably have been doing all along for my MS related symptoms (foot drop, numbness, etc) to maintain quality of movement.

Guess there is truth to the adage “move it or lose it”!

On that note, I’m off to do the crossword puzzle with my non-dominant hand. 😁

@mhworden that sounds awful luck, but you’re putting in the effort to fix it.

Just take care.

And to take it a step further, you’d need a neuro physio to show you exactly what to do. But it is worth it.

Thanks @cameron! I’ve got my semiannual appointment with my neuro next week … Will add that to my list of questions!
