I had a very itchy scalp but it was not MS related. My GP gave me a topical steroid that worked wonders. Are you sure it is MS related?

I just re-read your post and realized you were itchy all over. I haven’t experienced this. Hopefully the doctor can give you something stronger if you’ve already tried Benedryl.

I get this sometimes: itchy head to toe. I haven’t found topical creams or oatmeal baths to be very helpful but there’s a rx called Atarax that works some. Best wishes 🙂

@robfromkent , Atarax is a medication for a physical problem, whereas, with MS, it’s normally neuropathic in origin.

Contact your MS Nurse to discuss and they will suggest a remedy.

Hi @robfromkent, benadryl is an antihistamine so could help if it’s an allergy thing & it might sound weird but it could be connected to too much sugar in your diet, good luck hope you find a fix 😊

I have experienced this. I use tea tree oil shampoo or head and shoulders dandruff shampoo to get some relief. I would make sure I put lotion or cream on my body.

I get itching on specific pressure points in my shoulders, arms and hands. I also have an area on my back that sometimes feels like a bee sting sometimes itchy. I notice that they are the same points that my shiatsu practitioner goes to when applying accupressure. I don’t think she is causing the itching I think these are areas where nerve endings are being stimulated/ mis firing. I think using gabapentin helps treat the neuropathy. sometimes my skin is rawfrom the rubbing scratching.
