Dear @dominics& @stumbler I thought you 2 knew better! We only use a small part of our brains, as I’m sure you both know this, it’s just a matter of retraining it. I think more research should be done on looking at our brains and finding ways round the de-myelinised bits. Sounds easy doesn’t it!🙏🏻🥊

@grandma I can’t imagine why no one has considered that. I’m sure you’ll get a generous grant to study it. Let us know how you get on!

@grandma
I’ve been using the smallest part of my brain for years! Ask my father.
God help the world when I manage to find the big bit!
Still searching though, so you’re all safe for the mo.

Wonder how aubagio has an impact on NCAM.

@donavan – by NCAM I take it you mean this? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neural_cell_adhesion_molecule

There is this about Teriflunomide and brain function here: https://jnnp.bmj.com/content/89/6/A28.1

The abstract is available to read online. I no longer have my own access to BMJ papers so no idea if it covers NCAM at all in the study.

A broad remark seems to be that all Tier 2 and Tier 3 therapies have a greater neuroprotective effect than nothing. With regards to neuroregeneration effects – this is something that researchers are trying to learn more about.

Best,

Dominic
