How do I ease a hug?

There’s probably a load of info about this somewhere already but I’m too tired to investigate & decided to be lazy. Hopefully the answer will just arrive here while I preserve my energy for making the to the loo & back.

I’ve had the ol’ hug on & off since before diagnosis but it’s always just been tightness & varying levels of discomfort but right now it’s very uncomfortable with varying painful spasms. Are there stretches or breathing things I could try?
