Has anyone ever noticed

I have worked with a few people with ms over the years in my work . I also have a friend who has progressive and is wheel chair bound .

What I have noticed with people with ms . Is the eyes .

Now your going to read this and say what ….is she crazy but start really looking .

You will find a lot of people with ms have quite large eyes . There is something quite unique about they eyes of people with ms . There is sometimes quite noticeably obvious …..

Let me know your thoughts and I will resume answering .

Just start looking

It’s not only the size I’m talking about

A lot of people with ms have Marcus Gunn pupil or nystagmus or affrent puplis so know I’m sorry it’s not an April fool . I’m very observant and have seen it many times myself .

I have a marcus gunn pupil . In fact it was found by my parents . This was age 2 and half months old and obviously was noticeable to them .

@stumbler can back me up with that cause I sent some clinical notes to him . I was referred to a specialist at that time . As a baby when they looked at my eyes they noted on my clinical notes . That I had pallor of the optic disc too .

Hilarious

@Jadrya82 , on the basis that no-one knows what causes MS, this may not be an hilarious observation.

Don’t you think that most of the pioneers through history were ridiculed in the first instance?

Hi Stumbler
My response was based on the fact that some people are too obsessed with their own their own symptoms.
Krisp posted a question about relationships and without mentioning any names someone quickly turned it round to there own issues, whilst self diagnosing constantly.

@jadrya82 you think you would know you had ms if you had lived with for over 20 years ? Didn’t you know there was something dreadfully wrong with your health in the first instance . The symptoms hardly go UN noticed ? You can’t just get away from them .

@jadrya82 A question for you . How would you feel if you had undiagnosed ms cause they had missed and failed to diagnoses you as a teenager because you didn’t have the knowledge or understand what was happening to you . Then suffering all that year’s ? Think about it . How many people with ms have had to wait year’s for diagnoses . How did you feel on your wait for diagnoses ? How ling did you wait ?

Ms is generally a lot more obvious in guys sometimes . In children it is slightly different

Ms is something you can’t think you have if it there just saying

Wow, what an observation. Maybe we should submit pics of eyes and do a small survey to check this.

angelbum

Yes maybe we should maybe people should all be a bit more open and talk with one another a bit more . This is prob why ms hasn’t been cracked or cure found .

There are too many people that are closed books or are scared of there illness.
.
So perhaps don’t like discussing . If we are to get anywhere in understanding multiple sclerosis . Yes we do need people to be open.

I love your sarcasm but really is there any need for it .

My apologies if my comment came across sarcastic, the comment was made in the esrly hours whilst writing my research proposal; hence the suggestion. I’m genuinely impressed with your observations, it’s not something I would have picked up on or would have considered.

That’s ok ha ha we got to find some humour it’s really the only way I get by with this disease . I’m just trying to make sense of it all .

I wrote this in the middle of the night i have a viral infection high temp cough and woke up in a pool of sweat .

Infections really affect me and increase all my ms symptoms . So probably wasn’t thinking all that clear anyway .

Thanks Sar x

No big eyes in my case … they’re really quite small and one is a bit squiffy and not the same shape as the other. The Dr at Southampton when I was admitted recently asked me have they always been on the cock like that or is it a recent thing …. difficult to confirm or deny that though as I hate having my photo taken usually turn side on for them. In my younger years I work very thick glasses and my eyes looked like dinner plates in every picture so you can’t see the shape of them at all 🙂

Angelbum I really love the way you think! ie. independently and like a real individual. This isn’t silly or weird at all. I too am very observant, at least I like to think I am and I hate it when people wave off my observations as stupid or crazy when I only ever pose these things for the purposes of constructive conversation or argument anyway. I think its a little bit of tall poppy going on myself but ooo aaahh, just opening myself up again for a lopping.

I had never heard about these conditions you bring up but now having looked at your post and some basic info about them I would say fairly conclusively that I have Marcus Gunn! Actually I’d put money on it. And the other one (name?) isn’t such a far cry either but thats really hard for me to say because i’m no opthamologist and studying your own eyes is quite difficult 🙂

So I don’t know what any of this could mean or if its relevant, but I think its relevance is irrelevant to my comment here. What I’m principally doing is supporting your methods and thinking and analysis and willingness to put these things out there for thought. Go girl. The truth is, things just like this will end up being the key to some sort of break through one day.

Love your work.
