Diet and stress

So I got diagnosed in January and I have completely changed my diet free range chicken, wild caught fish, 100% grass fed beef. My question is it possible to have flares from just stress and not food? I’m following the aip diet BTW ( autoimmune Paleo) but I still have flares when I’m overwhelmed with stress

Stress is a definite no no. Its important to eliminate stress. It will not help your condition. After diagnoses i read Louise Hay How to heal your life. It helped melook at life differently it taught me i had the power and control of what i allowed. x

Yes! Stress is the worst thing for me, makes me very vulnerable to flair ups! Try meditation and mindfulness.

If you are thinking about lifestyle changes I would recommend cutting out all meat, especially red!

Hello @its_ree. Great that you’ve changed your diet, this really helps. But, stress is our number 1 enemy and it can bite you in ways that wouldn’t have affected you at all before diagnosis. Finding balance in all things is so important. You can learn to cast aside, or ignore the things, or situations that can lead to stress. These things get easier with time. Wishing you all the best 🙂
