Dealing with climatic heat.

Hi to all of my fellow MS members of the Shift.ms community. My age is 73, although I was officially diagnosed in 2005; I am becoming more convinced than ever that the journey actually began in 1967. Since that time there has been study, social activity, work, marriage, service club activity. In my case multiple sclerosis has been slow moving, that is one plus I suppose! Now the effects of secondary progressive MS have found me and I have become a full time power-chair user who reacts badly to hot weather and fatigue. However, life is for living, activity continues, but from a power-chair and help from my wife/carer:- gardening, DIY home maintenance and woodwork, depending upon the temperature of the day.

Hello @kencollins, thanks so much for his positive spin. What a great, full life you continue to have. This is a very emotional time of year and there have been many posts which reflect fear of the future, so your post is a jewell! I don’t know where you are posting from, but if you are in the U.K hen at least you won’t be exposed to searing heat anytime soon! Happy New Year to you 🙂
